Abstract
The Semipalmated Sandpiper (Calidris pusilla) is a Nearctic migrant that breeds mostly in northern North America. In summer months, it generally reaches northern South America, with scarce records in the south of the continent. Here, I present the first record of Semipalmated Sandpiper for the province of Tierra del Fuego, Argentina.
