Chestnut-backed Tanager (Stilpnia preciosa) at Paraná River, Entre Ríos, Argentina

Abstract

In August 2020, we recorded a male Chestnut-backed Tanager (Stilpnia preciosa) in Diamante Urban Natural Reserve, Entre Ríos, Argentina. This record of current presence on the coast of the lower Paraná River in the province of Entre Ríos, allows us to revisit a historical controversy about the westernmost records for the species.
