Abstract
The Bare-throated Bell Bird (Procnias nudicollis) was traditionally considered very rare in Argentina, with few and sporadic records throughout the 20th century. We present a compilation of information available in this country that suggests that it is a migrant passing through the provinces of Misiones and Corrientes. We propose that a concentration of individuals occurs in the north of Misiones in the months of July, August and September with individuals that would pass back and forth from the state of Rio Grande do Sul and part of Santa Catarina, reaching the eastern region of Paraguay during the winter and returning to the east during the summer period. The Bare-throated Bellbird could integrate a longitudinal migratory system already proposed for other species. Future studies should elucidate and study these movements in depth.
