The Common Potoo(Nyctibius griseus, Nyctibiiformes: Nyctibiidae) occurs from Nicaragua to northern Argentina. In May 2025, we observed an individual in Mendoza, a province in central-western Argentina. This is the first record of a Common Potoo in Mendoza, and the southernmost record in the western portion of its range.
