The Spectacled Owl (Pulsatrix perspicillata) is widely distributed throughout South America, reaching Bolivia, Paraguay and northern Argentina. In the Province of Misiones (Argentina) it had two previous records. In this work we present six new records, the first recordings of vocalizations, a video, and the first evidence of breeding of the species in the province. Furthermore, we determined the subspecies of Spectacled present in Misiones and surrounding areas by analyzing pictures and citizen science data bases.
