Abstract
The Ringed Storm Petrel (Oceanodroma hornbyi) is a Humboldt Current endemic from the Pacific coast, ranging from Ecuador south to Chile. Here, we present the first record of the Ringed Storm Petrel for Argentina. On April 25th 2020, after a heavy electric storm, we found a Ringed Storm Petrel in San Martín de los Andes, Lácar department, Neuquén. We discuss that a considerable number of seabirds cross regularly the Andean ridge, from the Pacific Ocean to Argentinian Patagonia.
