Abstract
The Scarlet Tanager (Piranga olivacea) breeds in the United States and Canada. During the austral summer, it migrates to South America reaching central Bolivia. In May 2020, I observed a male Scarlet Tanager in Necochea, Buenos Aires province, Argentina, which represents the second record of this species in Argentina.
