Abstract
The Broad-winged Hawk (Buteo platypterus) reproduces in the northern hemisphere and during the non-breeding months it migrates from North America to Central and South America. In Argentina, the species is considered rare and is typically distributed in the northwest of the country. In this work, we report on two observations of Broad-winged Hawk in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. These are the southernmost records for the species, more than 1400 km south of its record in eastern Formosa.
