New records of Spotted Rail (Pardirallus maculatus) and Yellow-billed Cuckoo (Coccyzus americanus) for Catamarca Province, Argentina

Abstract

A new record of the Spotted Rail (Pardirallus maculatus) obtained through audio recordings in the Paclín River (Valle Viejo department) is reported. Additionally, a Yellow-billed Cuckoo (Coccyzus americanus) is photographically documented from Alijilán (Santa Rosa department), in Premontane Forest. Both findings provide reliable documentation and expand the distributional knowledge in Catamarca.
