Abstract
I report a predation event by the Chalk-browed Mockingbird (Mimus saturninus) over Golden Liophis (Erythrolamprus semiaureus), in Buenos Aires province, Argentina. The bird was photographed while swallowing the snake, which appeared to be dead during the observation. This record represents the second known case of snake consumption by this species and the first documented for Argentina, providing additional information on the opportunistic diet for Chalk-browed Mockingbird.
