Abstract
This work reports the nesting of four species of herons in San Juan province, Argentina, for the first time. The observations and photographic records were made at Laguna El Desempeño, located in the 9 de Julio department, during the 2022-2023 breeding season. This finding contributes significantly to the knowledge of the species and their reproductive behavior, which had not been previously reported for San Juan province.
