Abstract
Here, I report a new record of the White-throated Kingbird (Tyrannus albogularis) in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. I observed the bird in Parque Estadual do Turvo, in the area of the Moconá Falls. This represents the first sighting of the species in the state. Although I was unable to document its presence on the Argentine side, its flight across to this territory would indicate its occurrence, and thus we may be witnessing the addition of a new species to Argentina's avifauna.
