Abstract

The Palm Tanager (Thraupis palmarum) is distributed from Nicaragua to the extreme north of the province of Misiones, Argentina. Here we report the first record of the species for Northwestern Argentina, in addition to the first record of the subspecies T. p. melanoptera for the country.
