Abstract
The Lined Seedeater (Sporophila lineola) is widely distributed from northern Venezuela to central Argentina. Currently, the species has only one previous record in Catamarca province. In this work, we report the presence of two Lined Seedeaters in the locality of Alijilán, Santa Rosa department, Catamarca. This new record is located 100 km southeast of the previous one and in a different biogeographical context, thus contributing to the knowledge of the avifauna of Catamarca.
