Abstract
The Dot-winged Crake (Porzana spiloptera) is distributed in the southern part of South America. In Argentina, the species is found in the central-northern part of the country with occasional records further south. Until now, there had been no records of the species in La Pampa. Here, we present the first record of the Dot-winged Crake in this province. The individual was in a lagoon located in the Puelén department, in the southwest of the province of La Pampa.
