About the Journal

Nuestras Aves is one of three journals published by Aves Argentinas, focusing on ornithological topics. The journal primarily targets the scientific, birdwatcher, and naturalist community. Published annually in digital format, Nuestras Aves includes contributions from individuals without formal academic training, qualified scientists and naturalists. The content of Nuestras Aves covers the natural history of birds, descriptions of behaviours, novel records of reproduction and feeding, and new or little-known geographical distributions relevant to specific regions or countries.

Nuestras Aves publishes contributions in two different sections:

  • Novel Records: Observations of rare species or unusual behaviours.
  • Articles: More detailed notes, either methodological, such as abundance surveys, or bibliographic, such as reviews or compilations of observations of specific species.
