Abstract
The Dot-winged Crake (Porzana spiloptera) is an endangered, little known rail, considered rare and under-observed. The best-known populations in Argentina are found in Buenos Aires, Córdoba, San Juan, San Luis and Santa Fe, although there are records for thirteen Argentine provinces. Here, we report a dead Dot-winged Crake, found in the city of Ituzaingó, Corrientes, Argentina, which constitutes the second record of the species for this province, expanding its distribution 215 km east of the previous record. Through this specimen we provide new information about its biometry and diet.
