Abstract
In Argentina, the White-faced Whistling-Duck (Dendrocygna viduata) is distributed in the northern and central parts of the country. The species is mentioned in Catamarca, but currently, there are no records to confirm its presence in this province. In this work, we present the first record of the White-faced Whistling-Duck in the province of Catamarca. The finding was made on the edge of La Cañada dam, in the locality of Alijilán, Santa Rosa department. This note extends the distribution of the species and incorporates it into the Catamarca birds.
