Abstract
The White-throated Thrush (Turdus albicollis) is a species widely distributed in South America, mainly present in humid and secondary forests. In Argentina, it is nearly restricted to the province of Misiones, with few records in other provinces. Here, we report the third record for the province of Buenos Aires, in the “El Destino” Private Natural Reserve, Magdalena district. The individual was observed and heard, and its identification was corroborated by the Merlin Bird ID app and the positive response to the playback. Since the White-collared Thrush is common in southern Uruguay, and our record is close to that region, our observation could be an accidental record with a possible displacement across the Río de la Plata.
