Abstract

The Common Yellowthroat (Geothlypis trichas) is distributed in Central and North America, with the southern limit of its natural distribution being Panama. On July 20, 2023, we observed a male individual of the Common Yellowthroat in Finky Municipal Park, Turdera, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. Subsequently, we confirmed the presence of the species with photographs and vocalizations. This observation represents the first record of the Common Yellowthroat in Argentina.
