Abstract
The Chiloe Wigeon (Mareca sibilatrix) breeds in the south of the continent, with some individuals from the southernmost populations migrating to the north. In Brazil, it is considered a migrant, coming from the south. However, in Rio Grande do Sul, it has been recorded in all seasons of the year. In this work I present the first breeding records of the species in the country.
