Presencia de Fiofío Grande (Elaenia spectabilis) en el centro-sur de Córdoba, Argentina: notas sobre su edad, condición reproductiva, morfometría y análisis de plumaje
Resumen
El Fiofío Grande (Elaenia spectabilis) es una especie neotropical de amplia distribución. En Argentina, se lo encuentra desde el norte y noreste hasta el centro del país durante la primavera austral. En este trabajo reportamos la presencia del Fiofío Grande en una nueva localidad en el centro-sur de la provincia de Córdoba y analizamos características corporales relacionadas a su plumaje, condición reproductiva y edad. En enero del 2023 anillamos un individuo de Fiofío Grande en la localidad de Río Cuarto, la ubicación más austral reportada para la provincia de Córdoba. El análisis del individuo y su plumaje arrojó que se trataba de un macho joven y activo reproductivamente. Esto es relevante porque significa que la evaluación del plumaje permitiría determinar la edad en esta especie. Además, este reporte de un macho joven reproductivo en el límite de su rango de distribución apoyaría una posible expansión de la especie.
